If you'd like more information about the various committees, please scroll down. <P> <B><FONT SIZE=+1><A NAME="committees">HMD Metro Council Committees</A></FONT></B> <P> The HMD Committees are open to all students and young adults who would like to be more involved in planning HMD programs. Committee members need not be members of the Metro Council. <P> <B>Social Events</B>: Plan and implement monthly events for students and young adults. <P> <B>Sports</B>: Organize sporting events and athletic activities. <P> <B>Social Action</B>: Coordinate projects to help others throughout the metro Detroit area. <P> <B>American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC)</B>: Support Israel through projects, educational and cultural programs, and conferences. <P> <B>United Jewish Appeal</B>: Raise money for the UJA Campaign (Allied Jewish Campaign) and sponsor educational programs on campus and in the community. <P> <B>Jewish Awareness</B>: Develop opportunities to educate on Jewish topics. These may include speakers, Shabbat and holiday activities, and many others. <P> <B>Outreach/Engagement</B>: Promote and publicize HMD and inform Jewish young adults and students about HMD.
